After the Pale Eyes project-- its pop poetry, its lo-fi burn of synths and samples-- I moved toward more obscure experimentation. Making deeply personal compositions, more coherent to me, in the history of field recordings, and sound experiments they represent, than to my handful of listeners who'd grown used to the touch points of beats, and recurring melodies and harmonies. While this challenging experimental music found a home in video games, sound installations, and theatrical scores, my primary interest has always been to make records for the headphone walkers and the bedroom readers.

These songs represent my return to some semblance of generic conceit. I've brought along the rescued phone recordings, the hastily-documented song-ideas, the soundbites appropriated from social media, but laid in heavy beats, builds, drops, and grounding melodies, that invite a listener in for repeated plays.
